Alone on Valentine's Day

Dear Lonely Heart,
I know this is the loneliest day of the year for you.
Your co-workers’ desks are littered with chocolate wrappers and every time a flower delivery comes through the door, your heart hurts just a little because you know that bouquet isn’t for you.
You know that you will spend the evening eating take-out with your only company being the latest sitcom and your lazy cat.
You dread going to work on Monday knowing that you will be regaled with tales of how the lovebirds in the office spent their romantic evenings.
While the rest of the world celebrates the loves of their lives, you feel so utterly alone.
First, let me tell you that it’s not all quite as romantic as the commercials make it seem. The restaurants are overcrowded, the flowers too expensive, and the chocolates? Well, the price of that box will be paid for by spending extra time at the gym for the next six months!
If that doesn’t bring you any comfort, then let this:
You are not alone.
You are deeply loved.
Someone gave you a gift far greater than roses, chocolates, or a night on the town.
His name is Jesus Christ.
If you are His, then you have a reason to celebrate today.
If you don’t know Him, you are invited to.
Right now.
Just as you are.
