You should not have to rip yourself into pieces to keep others whole

People-pleasers are approval junkies, they want everyone around them to be happy and they will do whatever is asked of them to” keep it that way. Their personal feeling of security and self-confidence is based on getting the approval of others. They put everyone else before themselves. This makes them feel important and like they’re contributing to someone else’s life.

Approval Junkies:

Pretend to agree with everyone.
Feel responsible for how other people feel.
Apologize often.
Feel burdened by the things you have to do.
Can’t say no.
Feel uncomfortable if someone is angry at you.
Need praise to feel good.
Don’t admit when your feelings are hurt.

Eliminate its power by putting yourself first.  Say no without feeling guilty and
remind yourself is that your worth is more than what I do for others."
